About us
The not for profit organisation Etudes et Chantiers develops, since 1962, social and professional inclusion actions, vocational training and european projects in France and abroad. Our beneficiaries are unemployed people, often facing social and professionnal issues, and young people. Our organisation implements team work projects based on sharing, lifelong learning, and sustainable development.
The association is accredited as :
- Popular Education by the Ministry of Youth and Sports since 1979
- Environment and Sustainable Development by the Ministry of Ecology and Sustainable Development since 1993
- Training organization by Departments of Work in both regions, Brittany and Pays de la Loire, since 1995
- European Voluntary Service (EVS) organization for sending, hosting and coordinating projects by Erasmus+.
- Civic service organization, hosting young French volunteers willing to commit themselves for a community project.
Our organization supports the commitment of young people and adults in the restoration, equipment and protection of natural and built areas. We also implement actions of local development in rural areas. Working in rural and urban areas, our teams are led by a united pedagogy « to make together ».
- Inclusion workcamps : 27 permanent workcamps spread on both regions Brittany and Pays de la Loire : 488 persons hired every year and supervised by 115 permanent employees.

- European teams of volunteers: implementation of 3 teams of 12 European volunteers each summer for a period of 2 months, working together, leaving together, and discovering our country to raise young people’s awareness.
- Research and development in the fields of natural building material, green energies, natural areas management, youth.
- Source of proposal to galvanize local communities by reinforcing development capabilities and entrepreneurship.

Etudes et Chantiers gets together 12 Board members and employs 115 permanent staff members. We offer a chance to 488 inclusion workers a year, 28 French and European volunteers.
